Oildale, Calif. – A male rider was killed and another 28-year-old man sustained severe injuries in a motorcycle crash in Oildale Thursday night.
According to the authorities, the incident was reported at around8:20 p.m. on January 4 at McCray Street and Merle Haggard Drive.
The biker was pronounced dead at the crash site while the car's driver suffered moderate to major injuries.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.

Bakersfield, Calif. – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident in Bakersfield on Thursday night.
The fatal collision happened around 8:20 p.m. at McCray Street and Merle Haggard Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A car and a motorcycle reportedly collided on the highway in unclear circumstances. The impact of the collision sent the car off the roadway where it crashed into a power pole.
