Costa Mesa Man Killed in Huntington Beach Crash Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue
Huntington Beach, California (October 30, 2023) – A 61-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash at an intersection in Huntington Beach Sunday evening, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD).
The deadly crash happened at around 7 p.m. October 29, at Magnolia Street and Hamilton Avenue, and involved a blue BMW X3 and a blue Harley-Davidson Softail motorcycle.
According to HBPD, the BMW, driven by an 82-year-old Huntington Beach man, was traveling westbound on Hamilton Avenue and as he turned left onto Magnolia Street, the motorcyclist, who was traveling eastbound on Hamilton Avenue, entered the intersection and the two vehicles collided.
The rider, only identified as a 61-year-old Costa Mesa man, died at the scene.
The driver of the BMW was not injured in the crash. He remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, as per the HBPD.
The HBPD Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team is investigating the incident to determine the cause.
