One Injured in Phoenix Crash near Interstate 10 Tunnel Involving Reckless Driver
Phoenix, Arizona (August 3, 2023) – One person was injured, and a driver was arrested for reckless driving after a collision Wednesday afternoon in Phoenix, the Department of Public Safety said.
DPS troopers received reports of a driver recklessly moving in and out of traffic on Interstate 10 near 16th Street shortly after noon and responded to the area.
The suspect at one point drove onto the shoulder and eventually hit another car, injuring the driver. Details about the extent of the victim’s injuries and whether they were hospitalized were not given.
Troopers were able to stop the suspect using their patrol vehicles.
The suspect was arrested after a struggle with officers.
No trooper was injured.
