Reportedly, a southbound Buick Encore, operated by Holly Jo Ann Seeley, 55, of (CA), entered a controlled intersection and was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet 3500, operated by Angel Hernandez-Rocha, 18, of Salem. Both vehicles then spin off the roadway before entering an adjacent field.

Marion County, OR. – Phyllis Ilene Russo, 88, of Mountain View (CA), was identified as a passenger killed in a Saturday night crash on Highway 214 in Marion County.

The Oregon State Police responded to the deadly wreck on State Route 214 at Cascade Highway at around 9:32 p.m. September 14.

Reportedly, a southbound Buick Encore, operated by Holly Jo Ann Seeley, 55, of Mountain View (CA), entered a controlled intersection and was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet 3500, operated by Angel Hernandez-Rocha, 18, of Salem. Both vehicles then spin off the roadway before entering an adjacent field.

Russo was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was declared deceased at the scene.

Seeley, Hernandez-Rocha, a passenger, and a male juvenile, 17, of Salem, were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Two additional male juveniles' passengers in the Chevrolet from Salem, ages 17 were reportedly uninjured.

Additional details regarding the mishap were not provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
