3 Hospitalized after Petaluma Accident on Lakeville Highway near Browns Lane
Petaluma, California (August 11, 2021) – Three people were injured following a traffic collision in Petaluma Tuesday morning, a local news source said.
The crash involving a commercial box truck took place at about 10:15 a.m. on Lakeville Highway near Browns Lane.
As per the dispatch, the box truck was heading west on Lakeville Highway when it collided with the side of an eastbound Volkswagen Jetta.
Due to the impact, the Volkswagen crashed head-on into a Chevy pickup that was traveling behind the commercial truck.
The box truck reportedly veered off and then overturned onto its side near Browns Lane.
Both the Jetta and the commercial truck operators were trapped inside the wreckage and had to be rescued by firefighters.
Petaluma Truck Accident
Three unidentified parties, including the Chevy driver, were rushed to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries sustained in the accident.
Officials shut down Lakeville Highway in both directions between Frates Road and Browns Lane for three hours as they investigated and cleared the scene.
