Portland, OR.- A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle in Southeast Portland on Sunday night, according to the Portland Police Department.
The incident happened on Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Ash Street at around 10 p.m. August 3.
Police reported that a person on foot was hit by a vehicle near the intersection.
The circumstances under which the accident happened were not immediately established.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian, who was then transferred to a hospital with critical injuries.
The driver who struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene after the accident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
