Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Killed in Hollywood

Hollywood, California (September 18, 2023) –  Elder Bardales, 57, of Los Angeles, was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner as a pedestrian Killed Sunday night in Hollywood.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident was reported at around 10 p.m. on September 17 at Highland Avenue near Fountain Avenue.

Bardales was struck by a car as he was crossing Highland Avenue near Fountain Avenue for unknown reasons.

Bardales was pronounced dead at the scene, the police said.

Authorities said the unidentified motorist fled but was arrested shortly after the crash.

More details about the incident were not provided.

The crash is still being investigated.
