Gilroy, California (September 18, 2023) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Gilroy on Saturday night, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

The accident took place on First Street between Wren and Kern avenues at about 9 p.m. September 16.

A 34-year-old man was riding on an electrically powered skateboard when he was hit by a vehicle.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No further details were released.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
