San Mateo, California (November 11, 2023) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run collision in San Mateo on Friday morning, according to police.

The crash happened on 42nd Avenue and Edison Street at around 8:30 a.m. November 10.

Police said a man was walking his daughter’s dog when he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver reportedly left the scene after the accident.

Police later arrested the suspect, identified as Armen Grigorian, 31, of San Mateo, on suspicion of hit-and-run. Police located Grigorian and his white Toyota Tacoma truck in San Carlos.

The pedestrian was taken to a trauma Center and was said to be in stable condition.

The dog was killed in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
