Redding, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and injured by a vehicle in Redding on Thursday morning, according to the Redding Police Department.
The crash took place on Placer and Pine streets.
Police said the pedestrian was in the crosswalk when they were hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Placer Street.
The victim was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
