Pedestrian Dies in Oakland Train Accident on 49th Avenue

Oakland, California (November 4, 2023) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Oakland on Friday evening, according to the Oakland Fire Department.

The crash took place at 49th Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. November 3.

Authorities said a female walking in the area was hit by an Amtrak train.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
