One Person Hospitalized After Two-Car Crash on Interstate 80 near El Camino Avenue Off-Ramp

Sacramento, California (August 15, 2023) – One person was hospitalized with major injuries after a pickup truck and an SUV collided Monday afternoon in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported at about 4:27 p.m. on the eastbound Interstate 80 just east of the W El Camino Avenue off-ramp.
CHP said a small gold pickup truck collided with a silver Toyota Sequoia.
An occupant in the pickup truck was unconscious after the accident.
Sacramento firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
CHP officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
