Riverside, CA. – One person died, and two others were injured in a car accident that happened Wednesday night in Riverside, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision took place around 9:42 p.m. on westbound State Route 92 near Madison Street.
Riverside police and firefighters responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the crash and found three victims on the right shoulder.
One of them was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
According to a witness, a car was stalled in the No. 4 lane when it started moving and then crashed into two other vehicles pulled on the right shoulder.
The victims were reportedly outside their cars when the accident occurred. One of them was reportedly pinned between the vehicles.
Police officers are collecting more information to determine what transpired leading to the collision.
