One Person Killed, Another Injured in Jet Ski Accident on Shasta Lake
Shasta Lake, CA. – One person died, and another was injured in a jet ski accident that happened Saturday afternoon on Shasta Lake, the Shasta County Sheriff's Office reported.
The incident occurred around 2:44 p.m. in Shannon Cove near Sacramento Point.
The Boating Safety Unit responded to the scene and found an 18-year-old male with injuries to his chin and face and a 19-year-old with a knee injury.
The victims suffered the injuries after their jet ski collided with another jet ski operated by a 21-year-old male who did not suffer injuries.
The injured victims were taken to Bridge Bay Marina, where paramedics were waiting. When they arrived at the marina, the 18-year-old man became unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
