Man Killed in Oceanside Pedestrian Accident at El Camino Real and Vista Way
Oceanside, California (August 7, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Friday night in Oceanside, according to police.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred just before 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, at the intersection of El Camino Real and Vista Way.
Police said the pedestrian, believed to be a man in his 50s, was walking across El Camino Real in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by an SUV that was traveling northbound.
Pedestrian Killed in Oceanside Crash
The man died in the crash. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next kin.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.
No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
