Four vehicles collided on eastbound Interstate 80 near the El Portal Drive off-ramp, leaving at least one person hurt
Richmond, Calif. – At least one person sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday night on Interstate 80 in Richmond.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred around 8:51 p.m. in the westbound lanes just west of the El Portal Drive off-ramp.
Four vehicles were involved in the collision. One vehicle reportedly swerved from the slow lane to the No. 1 lane and hit the other vehicles.
Emergency personnel responded and helped at least one person who sustained minor injuries.
All eastbound lanes except the No. 1 lane were shut down following the collision until around 10:08 p.m.
CHP officers are investigating the accident.
