Mission Viejo, California (November 8, 2023) – Minor injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision involving a school bus that happened Tuesday morning on a freeway in Mission Viejo.

According to a report released by the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported just after 8 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Crown Valley Parkway.

A school bus, a silver Hyundai SUV, a silver Honda van, and a fourth car were involved in the collision.

An unknown number of parties sustained minor injuries.

It was unclear whether there were students on board the school bus at the time of the collision.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
