Anaheim, CA. – A motorcyclist died in a collision that happened Friday night on State Route 91 in Anaheim, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 11:05 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway west of Gypsum Canyon Road.
According to CHP, a motorcycle collided with another vehicle, and the motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway. The rider was then run over by a separate car.
The motorcyclist was lying in the roadway vomiting, and their boyfriend was performing CPR before emergency personnel arrived. Several other motorists had pulled over to offer help.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked several traffic lanes.
The firefighters pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene and requested a coroner representative from the Orange County Sheriff's Department to respond to the scene.
Police officers did not immediately determine what transpired leading to the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
