Police said a 1998 Jeep Cherokee made an unsafe lane change and sideswiped a 2023 Yamaha MT-09 heading east on La Jolla Village Drive
Torrey Pines, CA.- A motorcycle rider was hurt in a crash that happened in Torrey Pines on Thursday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident took place in the 3100 block of La Jolla Village Drive at about 1 p.m. September 19.
Police said a 1998 Jeep Cherokee made an unsafe lane change and sideswiped a 2023 Yamaha MT-09 heading east on La Jolla Village Drive.
The motorcyclist then collided with a Toyota Highlander.
Police said the motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with an open fracture to his right femur and right knee.
No other injuries were reported.
DUI is not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
