According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 6:04 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the freeway east of the Grand Avenue off-ramp.
Authorities said a motorcyclist collided with a vehicle under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters and Care Ambulance personnel responded to the scene.
The rider was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital by Care Ambulance with unspecified injuries.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
