A motorcycle collided with a vehicle on the northbound lanes of 5 Freeway Sunday afternoon, the CHP says
Carlsbad, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 in Carlsbad.
The wreck was reported at around 1:39 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 5 just south of Tamarack Avenue.
A red Tesla Model 3 collided with a motorcycle for reasons not yet established.
Responding crews found the rider down in the left HOV lane.
The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital for treatment.
The motorcycle was towed away from the crash site.
The identity of the victim was not immediately established.
The cause of the wreck is being investigated.
