According to the report, Melody Ann Witherspoon, 42, of Avondale, was driving a Jeep SUV when, for unspecified reasons, she drifted off the roadway and crashed into a traffic sign
Avondale, AZ.– A woman was killed in a car accident in Avondale early Monday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The wreck happened on Interstate 10, near the 83rd Avenue offramp at around 4:45 a.m. October 13.
According to the report, Melody Ann Witherspoon, 42, of Avondale, was driving a Jeep SUV when, for unspecified reasons, she drifted off the roadway and crashed into a traffic sign.
The impact caused the SUV to roll over and Witherspoon was ejected.
Witherspoon died at the scene of the accident.
No other parties were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
An investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
