A 19-year-old woman and 14-year-old Matthew Lourenco, both from Turlock, were transported to hospital where the boy later died
Turlock, CA. – A 14-year-old boy has died while receiving treatment for injuries he sustained in a car crash that killed three members of his family and a fourth person last week Sunday in Turlock.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 165 at Greenway Avenue at around 9:25 a.m.
22-year-old Uriel Guizar Negrete, of Modesto, was driving an Infiniti northbound on Highway 165 at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a Jeep driven by 44-year-old Daniel Lourenco.
Daniel and Uriel were killed in the crash.
45-year-old Jennifer Lourenco, a teacher at Ceres Unified School District, was in the front passenger seat of a Jeep and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
16-year-old Madelynn Lourenco, a student at Pittman High School, was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
A 19-year-old woman and 14-year-old Matthew Lourenco, both from Turlock, were transported to the hospital where the boy later died.
The family was reportedly driving to church when the fatal crash occurred.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
