Long Beach, CA. – A woman died in a car accident early Friday morning in Long Beach.
The fatal collision happened in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Atlantic Avenue at around 12:15 a.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A 24-year-old Los Angeles woman was driving a 2017 Mazda 6 westbound on Pacific Coast Highway when he crashed into a 2007 Toyota Scion being driven northbound on Atlantic Avenue by a 63-year-old Long Beach man.
Maria Concepcion Martinez, 53, of Long Beach, was a passenger in one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the accident.
Both drivers and three passengers were injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
