Long Beach, California: A man died after he was struck by three vehicles early Sunday morning on Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach police said.

Two of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene.

Police said the man was crossing PCH northbound outside of a crosswalk near the Molino Avenue intersection when he was struck by an eastbound car whose driver fled the scene.

Just after the accident, a 2017 Kia Sportage traveling eastbound ran over the man, who was lying in the roadway. The driver of the Kia stopped after the crash and called 911.

A third vehicle, described as a white truck, also hit the pedestrian and dragged him east of Molino Avenue before fleeing the scene.
