Morall Griffin Killed, Miguel Lopez Injured Head-on Crash on Marysville Road at Everglade Trail

Yuba County, California (November 6, 2023) – Authorities have released the name of the person who died in a head-on traffic collision in Yuba County early Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Morall Griffin, 26, of Oakland died after two vehicles collided head-on on Marysville Road north of Everglade Trail at about 3:43 a.m.

Griffin was operating a 2006 silver Toyota Prius at the time of the crash.

19-year-old Miguel Lopez was injured in the incident. Lopez was driving a 2013 silver Chrysler 300 when the collision occurred.

Yuba County, California (November 6, 2023) – Miguel Lopez, 19, of Browns Valley, was injured in a deadly car accident in Yuba County early Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash took place on Marysville Road north of Everglade Trail at about 3:43 a.m.

The CHP said Lopez was driving a 2013 silver Chrysler 300 northbound on Marysville Road when he collided head-on with a 2006 silver Toyota Prius that was driven by a 26-year-old Oakland man.

The Oakland man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died in the crash.

Lopez was wearing a seatbelt and was transported to Adventist Health/Rideout Hospital in Marysville for treatment of serious injuries.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
