Man Killed in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident at 16th Street

Phoenix, Arizona (November 10, 2023) – 70-year-old Francisco Gonzales was struck and killed by a car Wednesday evening in Phoenix.

According to a police report, the deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 7:55 p.m. at 16th Street near 1600 East Southern Avenue.

Gonzales was crossing the street when a vehicle driven by a woman struck him.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the crash site.

The driver involved did not show any signs of impairment. She stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
