Man Killed in Head-On Collision in Touchet Identified

Touchet, Wash. – Authorities has identified 28-year-old Leno Quintero Hernandez as a driver killed in head-on collision Monday night.

The Washington State Patrol said the collision happened at around 8:50 p.m. on November 13 on Highway 12 at Oasis Road.

Hernandez was driving an eastbound Chrysler Town and Country van toward Walla Walla, it attempted to pass another car and collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Tacoma pickup towards Pasco.

A third vehicle then collided with the pickup truck with two occupants, including a 2-year-old.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Six parties were transported to different hospitals with injuries for treatment.

The highway was closed for several hours following the accident.

It’s unclear whether impairment was a factor in the crash.

Pasco, Wash. – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision near Pasco on Monday evening, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The collision happened at about 8:54 p.m. on State Route 12 near Oasis Road.

The WSP said a car was traveling east on SR 12 when it tried to pass a vehicle and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

A third vehicle was also involved in the collision with the westbound vehicle.

One person died at the scene of the crash.

Six other parties were injured.

The westbound lanes of SR 12 were shut down as authorities investigated the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
