A vehicle was traveling east on Carson Street when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing Carson outside of a crosswalk

Long Beach, CA. – A pedestrian was fatally injured in a traffic collision on Carson Street in Long Beach Friday night.
According to a police report, the auto-pedestrian cash was reported at around 10:40 p.m. on Carson Street and Gundry Avenue.
A vehicle was traveling east on Carson Street when it struck the pedestrian, who was crossing Carson outside of a crosswalk.
The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the crash site.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation is ongoing.
