Man, 71, Killed in Crash at 14th and Fargo Avenues on Hanford

Hanford, Calif. – A71-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Hanford, according to a CHP report.

The deadly crash happened at about 9:22 a.m. on November 20 at the intersection of 14th and Fargo avenues.

CHP officials say the driver of a Hyundai was traveling eastbound on Fargo Avenue and was at a stop sign at the intersection. At the same time, a Ford F350 was approaching Fargo from the 14th Avenue.

The Hyundai entered the intersection coming directly into the path of the Ford and the two vehicles collided.

According to the CHP, the Ford struck the left side of the Hyundai.

According to the CHP, the impact sent the Hyundai in a southeasterly direction where it struck a power pole.

Responding crews found a passenger in the Hyundai unconscious.

The patient, identified only as a 71-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

No additional information regarding the crash was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
