1 Person Hospitalized in Firebaugh Rollover Crash at W Nees Avenue at Russell Avenue
Fresno County, California (November 5, 2023) – One person was seriously injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision in Firebaugh Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 1:53 p.m. on W Nees Avenue, just west of Russell Avenue.
According to the CHP, a black Honda Accord and a white Ford Explorer were involved in the crash.
Responding crews found the Accord overturned 20 feet off the roadway and the Explorer overturned in a canal full of water 50 feet off the roadway completely submerged. All the occupants were out of the vehicles when the crews arrived
According to the CHP, one person was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
One person was taken into custody for suspected drunk driving.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided.
