Santa Clarita, CA. – One person suffered major injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that happened early Tuesday morning in Santa Clarita, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported just before 4 a.m. on southbound State Route 14 just south of Via Princessa.
Authorities said four vehicles were involved in the crash.
One person was trapped inside one of the cars and required extrication.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victim.
One person was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
All southbound lanes of the highway were blocked following the crash.
CHP is investigating the collision.
