According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 6:40 a.m. on Jackson Road, also known as Highway 16, near Sloughhouse Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
At least one person sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Jackson Road were experiencing significant delays following the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
