Luis Quezada Killed, Raul Ortiz Injured Injured in Head-On Collision on Silverado Trail in Napa

Napa, California (November 1, 2023) – Luis Padilla Quezada, 57, has been identified as the man who died in a head-on collision on Monday morning in Napa.

The fatal collision was reported at around 9:29 a.m. on Silverado Trail near Yountville Cross Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Napa man was driving a 1995 Toyota sedan southbound on the highway when he drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a Kenworth three-axle truck with a flatbed trailer.

Quezada was transported to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center where he died.

Quezada's passenger, 31-year-old Raul Ortiz, was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The truck driver, 36-year-old Mauricio Caballero of Mendota, was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
