Louis Iorillo and Jack Brown were identified by Kern County Coroner’s Office as two people killed in a multi-vehicle collision on SR 178 in Weldon

Louis Iorillo Killed in Bakersfield Crash on SR 178 near Kelso Valley Parkway

Bakersfield, CA – 64-year-old Louis Alexander Iorillo has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as the second person who died in a multi-vehicle collision last month in Weldon.

The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 11:42 p.m. on October 7, on Highway 178 west of Kelso Valley Road.

A 1992 Geo driven by 31-year-old Jack Lee Brown of Weldon was traveling westbound on Highway 178 when he allowed the vehicle to drift into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with two Yamaha motorcycles and a BMW sedan.

The impact of the collision caused the Geo to spin out of control and head westbound in an eastbound lane.

KCSO deputy Plugge was also traveling eastbound when the Geo crashed into the passenger side of his patrol vehicle.

Brown was killed in the accident.

Iorillo was riding one of the motorcycles and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
