Yamhill County, OR. – Lois Eileen Osborne, 53, of Gaston was in a Thursday afternoon head-on collision on Highway 47 in Yamhill County.

The Oregon State Police responded to the crash at around 12:19 p.m. October 10 on State Route 47 near milepost 30.

Reportedly, a southbound Chevy HHR, operated by Osborne, failed to negotiate a curve, entered the westbound lane, and collided head-on with a westbound Dodge Ram 2500, operated by Taelor Marae Befus, 32, of Yamhill.

Osborne was declared deceased at the scene.

Befus suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Two male passengers 7 and 9 years, suffered minor injuries and were transported for evaluation.

No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
