Paramedics administered CPR on the woman before she was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where she died
Ojai, CA. – 44-year-old Lisa Marie Hester has been identified as the woman who died in a pedestrian accident that occurred on Wednesday morning in Mira Monte.
At around 7 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a pedestrian accident on Highway 33 near the intersection of West Villanova Road.
The Ojai woman was crossing the intersection in the crosswalk from the southwest corner when she was hit by a white Chevrolet Express van driven by a 58-year-old Ojai man.
Ventura County firefighters administered CPR on the woman before she was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where she died.
The van driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
