Officers responded to the scene and found a 14-year-old pedestrian suffering from major injuries

Bakersfield Calif. – A juvenile pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle on Highway 184 in Bakersfield Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 3:34 p.m., CHP officers responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on Highway 184 at Pioneer Drive.
On arrival, officers found a 14-year-old pedestrian suffering from major injuries. CHP officials say the Juvenile was struck by a white Hyundai Accord.
The teen was transported to a hospital by emergency personnel.
No additional information was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
