Yuma, AZ.- Izaak Dominguez, 20, of Somerton, was killed in a car accident that took place in Yuma on Sunday morning, according to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
The wreck happened just before 6:00 a.m. August 10, on W. Eighth Street and S. Alicia Avenue.
According to the report, a 2018 Kia Forte LXS was traveling at a high rate of speed west on Eight Street when it crashed into the rear of a 1993 GMC Sierra 3500 dually.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on the driver of the Kia but were unsuccessful.
The driver, identified as Dominguez, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator of the GMC was taken to Onvida Health with minor injuries.
The YCSO said alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The accident remains under investigation.
