The Clovis Police Department reported that a driver traveling at a high rate of speed on Gettysburg Avenue ran a red light at the intersection and T-boned a vehicle driven by Shaw
Clovis, CA.- Ian Shaw, 42, of Clovis, died nearly one month after a suspected DUI crash that occurred in Clovis, according to the Fresno County Coroner's Office.
The accident took place in the area of Fowler and Gettysburg avenues at about 2 a.m. on December 1.
The Clovis Police Department reported that a driver traveling at a high rate of speed on Gettysburg Avenue ran a red light at the intersection and T-boned a vehicle driven by Shaw.
The impact sent both cars off the roadway and they collided with three other parked vehicles.
A passenger in the second vehicle, Quinceia McBean, 25, of Coarsegold, was pronounced deceased at a hospital later that day.
Shaw was transported to a hospital with major injuries and was also pronounced deceased on Saturday, December 28.
The driver who ran the red light, identified as 19-year-old Himanshu, was hospitalized and also arrested on several charges including DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
