The man was driving a 2003 Mini Cooper S southbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the northbound lane and collided with a 2023 GMC Sierra, driven by a 23-year-old male from Meridian, ID, who was traveling at 65 MPH.
Adelanto, CA. – A 54-year-old Hesperia man was killed in a two-vehicle collision Sunday night on Highway 395 in Adelanto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 10:50 p.m. September 15 on the southbound on State Route 395, just south of Desert Flower Road.
The man was driving a 2003 Mini Cooper S southbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, he drifted into the northbound lane and collided with a 2023 GMC Sierra, driven by a 23-year-old male from Meridian, ID, who was traveling at 65 MPH.
The man was declared deceased at the scene.
The GMC driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary's Global Medical Center for treatment of pain in his right wrist.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation is underway.
