According to the Fremont Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. at Decoto Road and Brookmill Drive.
Man Crossing Fremont Street Hit and Killed by Car
Fremont, CA. – A 31-year-old Hayward man died when he was struck by a vehicle Saturday morning near an intersection in Fremont.
According to the Fremont Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. at Decoto Road and Brookmill Drive.
Authorities said the pedestrian was crossing Decoto Road outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a car traveling eastbound on Decoto, approaching Brookmill Drive.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stopped and stayed at the scene.
Police officers are investigating the collision.
