The WSP said Guilibaldo Vejarbarber, 21, of Omak, was driving a 2015 Acura RDX north on SR 153 when he moved into the southbound side and collided with an oncoming 2023 Kia Sportage
Pateros, WA– Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident near Pateros on Monday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The head-on collision transpired at around 3:49 p.m. November 10, on State Route 153 near milepost 2.
The WSP said Guilibaldo Vejarbarber, 21, of Omak, was driving a 2015 Acura RDX north on SR 153 when he moved into the southbound side and collided with an oncoming 2023 Kia Sportage.
Vejarbarber was taken to Three Rivers Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Kia, William Morgan, 62, of Gig Harbor, was unhurt but his passenger, Cynthia Morgan, 70, was flown to Confluence Health.
The WSP reported that alcohol and drugs were not believed to have been factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
