Glenn Owens Identified as Man Killed in Avila Beach Crash on San Luis Bay Drive at Apple Orchard Lane
Avila Beach, California (August 10, 2021) – Glenn Owens, has been identified as the man who was killed in a head-on crash on Friday afternoon in Avila Beach, authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 3:00 p.m., on August 6, on San Luis Bay Drive at Apple Orchard Lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford F-250, driven by Patrick McDuffee, 31, Nipomo, was traveling on the roadway when it crossed into the opposing lane and crashed head-on into another vehicle, driven by Glenn Owens.

Sadly, Owens was pronounced dead at the scene.
Susan Owens, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered major injuries and was taken to Sierra Vista Hospital for treatment.
McDuffee was under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision. McDuffee has been booking into San Luis Obispo County jail for murder.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
