Gilberto Gomez ID’d as 1 of 2 People Killed in Palm Desert Crash on Highway 101 at Fred Waring Drive
Palm Desert, California (September 12, 2021) – Gilberto Gomez, 52, of Indio, has been identified as one of the two parties who were killed in a two-vehicle accident in Palm Desert, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.
The deadly two-vehicle accident occurred at about 4:33 a.m. on Highway 111 at Fred Waring Drive.
According to the officials, two vehicles collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, Gomez, who was in one of the vehicles, and one other person were pronounced dead at the scene.
One other party was seriously injured and was hospitalized for treatment.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
