Tehachapi Man Garret Houston Killed in Two-vehicle Crash on Randsburg Cutoff Road Friday Night

Mojave, California (September 25, 2023) – A 39-year-old man was killed after two vehicles collided head-on on Randsburg Cutoff Road in Mojave Friday night.

The deadly crash happened around 10:12 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, on Randsburg Cutoff Road about a mile west of Highway 14, according to Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the CHP, a black Toyota Camry collided head-on with a black Dodge RAM. Responding crews found the driver pinned inside the Toyota Camry.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Garret William Houston of Tehachapi sustained fatal injuries in the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was not immediately clear if the other driver or any other person was injured in the crash.

No additional details regarding the crash were provided.
