Gervais, Oregon (August 3, 2023) – Francisco Lopez was one of the three people killed in a crash with a train near Gervais, Marion County, on Wednesday evening, according to the authorities.

The deadly wreck happened shortly before 7:54 p.m. August 2, near Keene Road Northeast.

According to the report, a freight train was involved in the collision with a car under unclear circumstances.

Three people, identified Catarino Hernandez Guzman, Jesus Carrera Avendano, and Lopez, were all killed in the collision.

One other person, Anselmo Caballero Herrera, was flown to a hospital.

The accident caused a closure of Keene Road Northeast between Manning Road Northeast and Portland Road Northeast.
