Man Killed in Rohnert Park Pedestrian Crash on Golf Course Drive

Rohnert Park, California (November 3, 2023) – A 42-year-old male pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Thursday evening in Rohnert Park.

According to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at around 7:38 p.m. on November 2 on Golf Course Drive between Commerce Boulevard and Roberts Lake Road.

Per the report, a SMART train struck a pedestrian for reasons not yet established.

The name of the man was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

The Rohnert Park DPS officers were assisted by Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies and Sonoma-Marin Rail Transit personnel at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
