Algona, Washington State (November 1, 2023) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a truck Wednesday afternoon in Algona.

According to the Washington State Police, the collision happened on State Route 167 north of Ellingson Road near milepost 13.

For unknown reasons, a semi-truck hit a pedestrian in the area.

The victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center, where he later died.

Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the wreck.

Additional information about the collision was not provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
