At Least 1 Killed in Whitewater Car Accident on Indian Canyon Drive and Highway 62
Whitewater, California (June 29, 2023) – At least one person sustained fatal injuries after a head-on collision Wednesday afternoon in Whitewater.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 2:41 p.m. on Indian Canyon Drive and Highway 62.
In unclear circumstances, a dark grey Honda Civic collided head-on with a silver sedan at the intersection.
Two people were trapped in one of the cars and had to be extricated.
Authorities said at least one person died in the tragic traffic collision.
The wreck closed Indian Canyon Drive between Mission Creek and Worsley for several hours.
A tow truck was requested for the scene.
An investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing.
